What May Be Causing Your Child's Headaches

Some potential triggers

(HealthDay News) -- Kids get headaches for a lot of different reasons, just as adults do.

The Nemours Foundation offers this list of common reasons for headaches in children:

  • Not getting enough sleep, or a change in sleep habits.
  • Not eating frequently enough.
  • Dehydration.
  • Too much TV or computer time.
  • Long car or bus trips.
  • Consuming too much caffeine.
  • Eating too many sugary or fried foods.
  • Stress.
  • Listening to music that's too loud.
  • Smoking.
